Age Requirements:
Preschool – To be eligible for Preschool, a student must be the age of 3 years on or before August 1st of the year of enrollment.
PreK – To be eligible for PreK, a student must be the age of 4 years on or before August 1st of the year of enrollment.
Kindergarten – To be eligible for Kindergarten, a student must be 5 years of age on or before August 1st of the year of enrollment.
First Grade – To be eligible for 1st grade, a student must be 6 years of age on or before August 1st of the year of enrollment
Minimum Entrance Standards
Kindergarten | 5-6 year olds
At least 5 years old by August 1st
Hold & use a pencil correctly
Write name / recite alphabet / count to 20
Count sets of objects with one-to-one correspondence
Recognize several numbers and letters of the alphabet along with sounds
Socially and emotionally relate to adults and students in an age-appropriate way
1st grade | 6-7 year olds
Use scissors, tie shoes, zip coat
Write / name / sound-out alphabet
Read simple 3-4 letter words
Write the numbers 0-30
Count by 1s to 50, skip count by 5s & 10s to 100
Recognize & name 1-2 digit numbers
Complete simple 0-9 addition/subtraction
2nd grade | 7-8 year olds
Fluently read & comprehend Frog & Toad are Friends
Print alphabet (upper and lower cases)
Write complete sentences
Quickly add & subtract 1 & 2 digit problems
3rd GRADE | 8-9 YEAR OLDS
Fluently read Charlotte's Web
Answer comprehension questions in complete sentences
Add & subtract problems with borrowing & carrying
Complete 100 addition / subtraction facts quickly and with ease
Read a clock & count money
4th GRADE | 9-10 YEAR OLDS
